Air circuit breakers are used on main incomers and bus couplers in switchboards. They are selected as part of a system where selectivity, short-time withstand capability and maintainability are central considerations.

Product families

IZM32 / IN32

Eaton IZM32 is an air circuit-breaker family, while IN32 identifies switch-disconnector versions. The common catalog covers trip units and construction variants without implying that IN devices provide IZM protective functions.

MasterPacT MTZ

Schneider Electric MasterPacT MTZ uses MicroLogic X for protection and measurement. MTZ1, MTZ2 and MTZ3 are different frame sizes selected for the main-switchboard design.
